Where can I go wilderness camping near Cambridge UK for a weekend?
I would like to drive a couple of hours and I am willing to walk 10-15 miles with a backpack and kit.

From a legal aspect, no you can’t. Wild camping is illegal in England. But if you follow a few basic guidelines, you should get away with it. Pitch late and leave early, leave no trace, and pitch as high as possible, above boundary fells (on open land). Unfortunately, the highest point above sea level in Cambridgeshire is just 146 metres – might therefore be worth travelling a bit further and getting a bit higher up.

What are some good campsites in Europe close to major cities?
My friends and I would like to go backpacking and camping across Europe. We are trying to find good campgrounds near the major cities we plan on visiting. Those cities are:
London, UK
Paris, France
Munich, Germany
Frankfurt, Germany
Amsterdam, Netherlands
Dublin, Ireland
Venice, Italy
Florance, Italy
Rome, Italy
Athens, Greece
Prague, Czech Republic
…also if you have any other places to suggest we would appreciate your input.

I know about camp sites in Munich, there’s a few good ones there even with lockers to stow your valuables. I just wrote a story about camping in Munich at the link below.

Does the United Kingdom use the same batteries as the US?
A friend and I want to backpack/hitchhike the UK this summer, but we are both girls so we need to be able to shave our legs and stuff when we might be camping out and don’t have access to a shower.. so our idea was to get a battery powered electric razor in the US, (is that legal to bring carry on on a plane?) and refill it with AA batteries when needed.. but does the United Kingdom use the same batteries as the US?

Yes you can find AA or AAA batteries easily in the UK at supermarkets or pharmacies like Boots. You can take the electric razors on a plane (with batteries taken out) but I’d recommend to put them in checked in baggage, NOT cabin baggage/handbag.
If you bring your cell phone, don’t forget you’ll need an adaptor for your phone charger (google ‘USA to UK Plug Travel Adaptor’, I’ve seen a few of them at BestBuy). Good luck & have fun!

Hi im looking for backpack for my little sister who’s in high school, and she told me that there are some colourful backpacks by this one brand you can get- pro sport.
