Leo Carrillo or Carpinteria state beaches for camping?
I just wanted to find out from people who have been camping at theses places to give some insight as to what is good & bad about both places. Ive heard..that leo carrillo…isnt close to the beach? is that true?
And ive already done my research on parks.gov… and everything I just wanted to hear from people who have been. Thanks very much.

Carp is steps from the beach. The dolphins swim along the beach. Walk to food and shops. And there is of course Surf Dogs. Highway 101 at Bailard Ave. Carpinteria. On the bluff.

Right on the sand, next to the ocean, in sleeping bags and a fire.

what should i bring to my beach trip?
im going to carpinteria state beach and camping there for one night. there are the obvious sun black swim trunks and all the essentials…. but what else would you bring to keep you occupied through the night?
Martin answers:
Are you sleeping in a tent? To keep from having to sleep on the ground/sand, I’d bring an inflatable mattress or at the very least a cushion for my sleeping bag. I also love my battery powered lantern which I can also hang from the inside of my tent. Don’t forget playing cards!

What do you do for christmas?
We usually go to church the day before christmas.
My family spends christmas eve with my mother’s family at one of my aunt’s house. There, we have dinner and exchange presents. I always score big since one of my aunt’s is a shop-aholic! xD
Afterwards, we visit my dad’s family (his family is twice as big since he has 10 siblings and they always have a huge party). We just stop in to say hi and then we leave quickly afterwards because the party ALWAYS gets out of hand.
Then, we go home and go to bed. When we wake up in the morning we open presents! My parents usually get about 8 presents each and the kids (me and my 2 sisters) get about 15. Afterwards, my mom makes breakfast and my sisters go upstairs. My dad and I watch a movie and fall asleep in the middle of it.
The day after christmas we go to Carpinteria state beach and camp in our RV for 2 to 4 days.
So what do YOU do?!

Sometimes I spend it with family, like aunts, uncles and cousins. I have a large extended family of people that I just keep discovering and meeting every single year. 
But also sometimes I like spending Christmas by myself. I’ll put up the Christmas tree and decorate, maybe make a pot roast and put the radio on and it’ll play songs all day. I don’t even really get out of my pajamas or anything. The weeks before I might’ve bought a few close people that I know some gifts, but I rarely ever splurge on myself.
