Travel journal – advice?
Im looking for a travel journal to record my trip to america – it needs to have room for about 160 days and im not too keen on the whole recording sights, eating out, feelings, etc pages i wouldn’t really use them – i’d prefer to have a diary/blank pages cos im at summer camp for 2 months so everyday is pretty similar (though i’d gladly have those sections in it as well as diary pages). I used a blank notebook last year, i just wanted something different this year. Anyone can help???
I used a simple office diary on my last trip, it is practical as dates are there already. I like the a3 format, one day per page, so you have plenty of room to write… And you can use blank days in case you finish the space on one page
I am an aspiring author and I have a million ideas. Can I have some input?
So, below are my eight best novel / novella ideas. I’ll include a summary. I’d appreciate it if you could give me some editing on storyline and give me 1-10 for each story based on originality, appeal and storyline.
After committing a crime, Colt Smith gets sent to “Camp”. It’s a faraway soccer camp. Most of the kids are reforming Delinquents because it’s so hardcore, almost no one will sign up. However, once there, Colt meets Jenna Harry, an Intense soccer player who’s been around the guys way to long, and begins to fall for her. Unfortunately, she doesn’t talk to criminals.
2. The Nightingale’s Chorus
The Wenn family is perfect. Alison, her sister Lilly, her Mum and her Dad. But then, around Christmas, Lilly kills herself and Alison is left to deal with the repercussions of the tragedy. (Ends with the funeral as a Nightingale sings it’s sorrowful song)
3.The Sterling Prophecy
A young girl, Sterling, is the subject of an ancient Greek prophecy. Bearing Godly powers, the Olympians send Apollo to guide her to Mount Olympus. However, along the way, she discovers that he’s a God and, angered, continues alone. (Obviously, he falls in love with her and chases after her and saves her from some angry Centaurs) The end of each two chapters will include a description of an important being. i.e. centaurs, vampires, furies.
A boy is sent to a magical being refinement Academy. There he meets a young Eaglim (human turns into eagle). They become great friends but she soon has to leave and when she returns, he develops a crush blah blah blah. A whisper of darkness has reached the ears of dangerous creatures everywhere and they, along with others, must battle the source – I need names for the male and female lead please.
An adaptation of Cinderella. What if, at the ball, before Cinderella came, the Prince was slapped by a young peasant for ignoring her while they danced. Cinderella ends up with a royal guard and Prince Freddie goes undercover as a peasant to win the heart of Hanna, the girl who caught his attention.
A novella about a girl who’s terrible at volleyball – I can’t bump, volley or spike. I’m terrible at volleyball. But then, one day, I served. And did I ever. The team couldn’t touch it when I served it – a story of finding who you are.
A story about a group of five girls who suffer isolation from the “perfect” girls. As time goes on, a member switches loyalties, one moves away, another finds pleasure in bullying the others and by the end, the main character, Devon, is left alone and broken, only to find friends with the least likely source.
A collection of journal pages from my grade eight (and possible nine, if I continue this once I graduate) years. Includes struggles on how I feel as if no boy could like me, I am bullied endlessly by my best friend and I realize that your friends are never your friends if the would even think of trying something like that. (Since it’s only September, I’ll have ongoing material. What I’ve pitched is just the first three weeks of school!)
Thanks, for #1, he commited a minor crime – expensive shoplifting – so it was that or juvie.
you’ve all been helpful. For that, I’ll add a ninth.
9. (UnTitled 2)
In the town of Adderstone, the classes are very separated. One day, while working at a breadshop, poor boy Jacob Broad drops some bread only to have rich girl Rebecca Anderson help him. Imagine Romeo and Juliette only no one dies and more characters.
You have a serious thing for love, huh? You asked for my opinion and here it is. You got some great ideas, so don’t let a little bit of criticism bring you down.
1. Camp sounds a little bit like the book Holes. Be careful with copyright laws.
2. The Nightingale’s Chorus sound depressing.
3. The Sterling Prophecy sound like my kinda book! I’m into the whole mythology thing and I think you’ll hook the fans of the Percy Jackson Series!
4. Untitled sounds pretty good. Did you come up with Eaglim yourself?
5. Prince Freddie sound very creative. I think its about time someone got the Prince’s point of view! Have you read Just Ella?
6. Service! Sounds a little dull, but if you can pull it off, go for it!
7. Again, copyright laws. It sounds a like the Clique series (then again, I barely know the series!)
8. An autobiography. Nice! I pray it has a happy ending!
I hope this helped. Please don’t take offense.
Is this good, will I proablly get an account?
In order to register on a website you have to answer some questions,if they dislike you,you don’t get an account on the site.I’ll show you What i got and you can tell me If It’s Good.
What’s your best quality?

It started when I was at the school talent show wearing the Michelena family tartan kilt. It ended with me head first in a tuba with no gitch.
Best memory from childhood?
Oh gosh, probably the first time I defeated the Troll Commander at Wrestling Camp. He was having an asthma attack at the time, but I still won.
Most embarrassing moment at school?
Geez, I got lots. One I guess would be at the school talent show. It involved my family tartan kilt, me landing head first in a tuba and no gitch. Who says dreams can’t come true.

Ask your tutor for help. I am sure they would prefer it if you went to them because you do not understand rather than not attempt it at all.
Sorry it is way above me, but good luck
