Donald asks…

Why is Prince William being invited to open the scout jamboree when he was never a scout himself and…?

Were you ever in the scouts/brownies/cubs/ guides.?
I was a brownie and guide and all of my boys were in the cubs and scouts (well one didn’t go on to scouts but he went to a chess and swimming club instead).
What stories have you got and do you think the modern movement is as fun (should there still be seperate organisations for girls and boys for instance – I think so and I was a right tomboy but I liked getting away from the boys sometimes and doing “girl’s things” and my boys benefitted from being around other boys and camping etc.).

“Granma Chala” – I just heared it announced on the radio news and I *can* lie awake all night because I have a rest from babysitting tomorrow after the first week of the school holidays and can lie-in if I want – but then again I might get up and take a train down to Essex and attend the jamboree myself!
Now explain *your* questions!
This was the article that I was looking for in relation to my follow up question -

Interesting?

Martin answers:

Because he is the son of the heir to the Throne.

Brownies was good fun although I think children do less of that sort of thing today. Its all Nintendo these days.

I loved getting my “badges” in Brownies! Sewing, cooking etc!

Mandy asks…

I think Adolf Hitler was a very good man and western media, particularly the UK media had made him really bad?

during the World War II. My grand father who was working for Gestapo had told me that he had seen Hitler as a nice gentleman. Everyone likes to say, “Hitler did this”, and, “Hitler did that”. But the truth is Hitler did very little. He was a world class tyrant, but the evil actually done by the Third Reich, from the death camps to WW2 was all done by German citizens only. Hitler was TIME Magazine‘s Man Of The Year in 1938. As a German told, “We loved him because he stood for the best that was in us, and as our Leader, demanded of us our best. It was never Hitler’s Germany. It shall always be: Germany’s Hitler, the man loved by his people.

This is why we loved him…

We loved him because he loved us and our children.

We loved him so much that we, the young and not so young, made pilgrimages to his home in the Alps – not to ask him for favors, but merely to catch a glimpse of him and to be near him.

We loved him because he was a good listener and lived simply.”

Martin answers:

Yes, I agree that Hitler didn’t do many of the killings himself; he had other ppl do it for him. It’s all about manipulation and brain control. He was te mastermind although he didn’t force the naked and beaten Jews into te gas chambers himself, even though he had them created and built for those purposes.

I have a friend who says he had a cousin who was a distant cousin of Hitler and the two were friends. Kind-of wierd huh?

Joseph asks…

How can I convince my mum to pay £3000 to let me go to Camp America for the summer?

I saw an advert in a magazine for Camp America Summer Camps for under 18s and decided I absolutely HAD to go since I’ll never probably have an opportunity like this before. I’m a 15 year old girl from the UK and I’m an only child. How can I convince my mum to let me go? One problem is that she thinks I’m too young. I explained to her that children as young as 6 are welcomed on the trip and that its perfectly safe. I think she has a problem with me travelling alone to the States. My mum’s kinda overprotective. I really want to do this! Help please! How can I convince her its a good decision?

Martin answers:

You’d have to tell her why you “absolutely have” to go. Reasons such as “I’ll never probably have an opportunity like this” probably isn’t good enough, because it’s a poor reason that makes your mom think you’re still a child who just wants stuff without a good, thought out reason.

You need reasons such as how you have future plans of being a diplomat, or working in international business — therefore you want to see more of the world besides this small crowded island (UK). Let her know you don’t want to do something like this in college because it will interfere with serious studies, and that you’ll have very little time to do such stuff once you enter the work force.

Paul asks…

should the reconstructed Jim Davidson be forgiven?

lets face it he was as guilty as hell, but at least the re education camp sessions seem to be paying off a bit.

>>
Jim Davidson, starring as a bigoted comic in a new play he has written, has apologised for any offence his humour might have caused in the past. So would it be possible for such a controversial figure to make a comeback?

He was once one of television’s most popular comedians.

But some of Jim Davidson’s humour, especially his jokes about race, disability and women, has caused outrage over the years. And in the mid-1980s, the tide turned in favour of a generation of politically-aware comics, epitomised by Ben Elton.

how true bad dog there’s an inquest underway right now over the deaths of 53 people who died of racism isn’t there?
bad dog of course it’s got everything to do with race only it doesn’t fit into your shallow definition of racism..

which kinda makes you a racist, watch out that stuff makes you FAT.. fucking hypocrite.

Martin answers:

Hopefully he has paid for his past mistakes the comedy scene is very different now. He has also done a lot to entertain our troops over the years in some pretty dangerous places, Now lets see what he can do and give him another chance to of grown up. Maybe he has and maybe he hasn’t.

We see a lot of anti white none jokes on our street now which in my mind are a lot more racist towards the very people who welcomed them into this country. No one seems to say they are not PC
