Carol asks…

Where can I, a 15 year old, get a job in Voorhees, NJ ASAP?

I’ve applied at ice cream stores, cafes, fast food places, grocery stores, day camps, and bookstores. Please do not say babysitting or housework, because people do not trust their kids with strangers when they could just drop them off at daycare. Yes, it IS legal to work at 15 in NJ, you just work less hours.

Martin answers:

You should be able to find what you’re looking for here. This link takes you directly to the jobs for teens and students out on vacation.

Chris asks…

What job can you get at 14 in NJ?

I don’t want to babysit or work at a summer camp. Are there any stores or restaurants that hire 14 year olds?

Martin answers:

You could be a drug dealer or a unicorn wrangler. Most jobs require you to be 16 e.i. Restaurants. I know that you could sell your body in a prostitution ring but that’s frowned upon in most of all the states 60% percent of the time. The above is optional you can always get a work permit. Oh yeah you shouldn’t give up on summer camps so easy. I have worked at one for three years and am going back this summer.

Paul asks…

Where to buy a PS3?

I am planning to camp out in front of a given store for the PS3- from about 12pm on Thur. I intended to go with a couple of buddies to Target, but I just got back from there and saw that 7 people were already there. So by the time I can go, there will be too many people, so that’s outta the question

Out of my curiosity, I went to Best Buy, Circuit City, and another Target, which are all in the middle of a heavily accessed route- pretty much no houses there. As compared to the Target, which was in the middle of a town. No one was camping out in front of the other 3 stores, but I believe that by the time I can go on Thur., the line may be too big.

I hope I can find a place, put I don’t know anymore. I intend to call all the stores Wed. night and Thur. morning, and maybe then I can decide, but I was wondering what you guys thought? What store would be best? I can’t go any earlier that Thur. at 12pm since I have a test right before then.

I live in NJ by the way.
One of my biggest problems is that Target does not want to give me a straight answer on how many PS3′s they will be getting. First they said 30, but after calling them a day later, they said they didn’t know. I called them today and they said less than 30. What does that even mean? If I am 25th in line can I get one?

Martin answers:

There are 4 options. One is to buy one on eBay. This is out of the question for most people because of the outrageous prices. The second option is to search the Internet for a system that hasn’t been taken. This is unlikely because of the demand. The third option is to wait until the supply goes up and the prices go down. This is probably the best option, but it will take quite a bit of time. The final option is to get some friends and camp outside of various stores with them, waiting for the PS3s to be released. This is very hard to do, but the probability is high one of you will get a system to buy.
