Best place to stay in Baguio for?

I’ve red all reviews in tripadvisor about hotels, inns, bed&breakfast but I’m still confused where to stay. I know that camp john hay manor hotel is very nice but its not our budget our budget is 3000 pesos. I prefer a hotel with clean, nice room, clean linens, good food and most specially clean bath/toilets. I know some of the pictures in their websites are deceiving that’s why I need recommendations from those who have experience staying on that hotel. thank you.

Joining the USMC reserves… what will be in store for me?

After I finish up my semester in college I will be enlisting. I’ve thought about this thoroughly and levelheadedly and I’m not going to bring you a bunch of “OOORAHS” and “SEMPER FI” and how outstanding the marine corps is.

If you get sick in boot camp you will not graduate. If you screw up in boot camp you will be demerited and not graduate. If you can not handle boot camp mentally you will stay in there. I know that.

I’ve talked to pissed off active-duty privates and they claim after the 13 weeks from boot camp, you may not see your family/ friends/ previous home life for a year or more. You may not spend another Christmas with your family for another three/four years. I know that if you are garaunteed a position as a Supply clerk, where they claim you will be typing sh*t out, you are a private, (AKA cleaning Marines) so your 8-to-12 hour a day obligation, 1000 miles away from home will be to wipe floors, scrub toilets, etc. I know that.

Your sergeant can review your bank account and if even if youre the most likeable, honest. hard working marine, if you give anyone in your commanding line a bad vibe they can bust you down to Private for eternity. Your sergeant can control what you eat, what movies you see, even who you should be talking to. (For example, I know marines weren’t allowed to watch the movie Jarhead, eat fast food, and one man was prohibited from seeing his girlfriend because she had a misdemeanor for possession of marijuana at age 17) One Marine wanted to go to Vegas for the summer, his sergeant denied his wishes. Some marines will request leave and never get it if they’re not well liked. I know this.

If you openly testify to your unfavorable treatment, or if you face non-judicial judgement too often (being repremanded and sometimes stripped of your rank) you will be dishonorably discharged. I know that too.

They also tend to place a marine in the exact opposite location where they came from. If you lived in CA and request to be placed in CA, they will place you in SC, If you live in MD, and request to be placed close to there, they will place you in Japan, etc. I know that.

I scored a 92 on my ASVAB and I have earned my Mitchell through CAP, (this means I will be commissioned as an E-2) and I know they hate anyone who is an individual, and I have a particularly outstanding record. I want to be an Air Traffic Controller. THEY know this.

I really do LOATHE my living situation at home with my parents, but the only thing I care about is my boyfriend. The Marines won’t know about him. We’ve dated for 2 months, but I am not able to see him, he lives on the other side of the state. I’m 17, he’s 15. Now I’m joining the MC to provide myself with a suitable income and financial independence. All I want is a car, a relatively roomy apartment with a roomate, and to see my boyfriend every other weekend. I also want to pursue my engineering major, and prime myself for a service academy someday.

Hmmm. Will this be feasible? What is life REALLY like in the USMC reserves?

Oh and no smartass answers please.

Thank you. :^D

Martin answers:

A reserves is part-time one weekend a month and two weeks a year, you will be stationed near a military reserves institution from your area. However as a reserves you will be paid little less. You would have to work a job if you want to posses the things you want. And you can see your boyfriend as much as you want to as long your not at drill that weekend. However it’s a different story if your Active Duty.

Boobs on a plane in the middle of the Atlantic Help fast!!!?

I am on a plane, we just left off about 30 minnutes ago from Bwi to London hethrow, and when I was in the bathroom, changing into my night clothes, I took off my shirt, ( white, nearly see-through button-down ) and my bra. When I took off my bra, it ripped in half down the left cup. Not supprising, already had a small rip there, and when I reacted to this, my shirt fell in the toilet. At this point, I am thinking, oh well, I still have my night clothes, but NO I don’t know where they went, but they ate certainly not here.

So let’s review, I am in the bathroom, on a plane, with no shirt. The reason I am going to London is actually, my boyfriends soccer team, who has like 40 male players and 30 other people. I am in the bathroom, camping out, trying to decide how in the world I am going to be able to fix this without having to ride for the next 9 hours with no shirt on, and tons of boys trying to have sex on a plane with me. Does anyone have any good ideas?

By the way, I am currently lactating really hard with my new born child, and have size 32i boobs, so there is no hiding them, they are absouloutly giant

Martin answers:

Enough is enough! I have had it with these motherf**king boobs on this motherf**king plane!

Abuse of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay has worsened sharply since President Barack Obama took office as prison guards “get their kicks in” before the camp is closed, according to a lawyer who represents detainees.

Abuses began to pick up in December after Obama was elected, human rights lawyer Ahmed Ghappour told Reuters. He cited beatings, the dislocation of limbs, spraying of pepper spray into closed cells, applying pepper spray to toilet paper and over-forcefeeding detainees who are on hunger strike.

The Pentagon said on Monday that it had received renewed reports of prisoner abuse during a recent review of conditions at Guantanamo, but had concluded that all prisoners were being kept in accordance with the Geneva Conventions.

“According to my clients, there has been a ramping up in abuse since President Obama was inaugurated,” said Ghappour, a British-American lawyer with Reprieve, a legal charity that represents 31 detainees at Guantanamo.

“If one was to use one’s imagination, (one) could say that these traumatized, and for lack of a better word barbaric, guards were just basically trying to get their kicks in right now for fear that they won’t be able to later,” he said.

“Certainly in my experience there have been many, many more reported incidents of abuse since the inauguration,” added Ghappour, who has visited Guantanamo six times since late September and based his comments on his own observations and conversations with both prisoners and guards.

wheres the Bias? only facts. does the truth=Bias know?
@ Jon t
maybe because these people are innocent. they have not strap a bomb in there chest if they did why are they still alive? i swear americans are fucking stupid
if anyone knew the Geneva convention you would know that Torturing prisoners is a war crime? so Bush and Obama according to there rules should stand trail. how woul americans act if they had these kinds of torture chambers in the other side?

Martin answers:

This is the change Barry Obama promised if any brainwashed americans actually listened to him. More troops to afghanistan, more bombings in Pakistan, even an invasion of Waziristan. No rights to POW in Bagram airbase
