Has anyone actually researched Harold Camping?
I have been for about a week and I came across something interesting. His Wikipedia page says he left the Church he was involved with and othe sites say he was removed. This was in 1988 mind you. Now everything Ive studied on him states that he said no one between 1988 and 1994 could be saved (1994 being his first prediction date) Now to me it seems that our pal H. Camping got mad at his Church for some reason so he decided to say that all Churches are evil since 1988. Anyone else think that he is just harboring hate for organized religion?

I mean come on..I’m 16 from Europe & new the entire thing was all about fooling the Christian’s & raking in the dough. He banked $80 million of this scheme. Heck he failed in 1994 & American’s still believed this old dude.

why is it that all prophets make mistakes? Old testament and New Testament ones allowing mistranslations to happen? Old Testament and New Testament prophets hiding all the archaeological findings and more information? Harold Camping with his failed 1994 predictions, Ellen G. White’s failed prophecies, JW’s failed 1914 prophecies, and even Joseph Smith’s failed war prophecies or the prophecy where one missionary was supposed to go serve a mission, but later died and the one where Christ was supposed to come soon before 1900?

Interestingly, even those Christians who enjoyed direct communication from heaven at times came to wrong conclusions; these wrong conclusions were even communicated “out among the brothers”!
For example, the apostle Peter enjoyed remarkable privileges in the early congregation, but it seems that he was the source of an incorrect teaching about the apostle John that was not formally corrected until several DECADES had passed, and John himself finally wrote his gospel about 98 C.E.
.. ..(John 21:21-23) Peter said to Jesus: “Lord, what will this man do [that is, the apostle John]?” Jesus said to him: “If it is my will for him to remain until I come, of what concern is that to you? You continue following me.” In consequence, this saying went out among the brothers, that [the apostle John] would not die. However, Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but: “If it is my will for him to remain until I come, of what concern is that to you?”
Of course, the Bible does not always use the term “prophet” only to refer to person or group with miraculous knowledge or foreknowledge. For example, the Scriptures indicate that whenever Jehovah purposes to execute judgment upon a people, he always makes arrangement for a ‘prophet’s work’ as a warning. Such a “prophet” would be whoever demonstrated the willingness to perform Christ’s assigned warning work in the days leading up to Armageddon.
What group is working harder than Jehovah’s Witnesses to preach God’s message globally (as Noah did before the Deluge)?

Please listen, I am going to give you ACTUAL evidence that the world will NOT end, I hope a lot of you will read on…. especially if you are afraid or wary..
Harold Camping predicted this 2 times, once in 1994, claiming the world would end judging by his rough bible estimation of how long the world had been around. His first prediction was 6000 years per scripture, indicating that judgment day was nearing. After his prophecy was proven wrong, he claimed his estimation was wrong and that it is actually 13,000 years per scripture, somehow meaning doomsday was to happen 17 years later.
His prediction is WAY to perfect, exact, to the time, day, and event. He says on May 21st, 2011, a MASSIVE earthquake at 6pm ET will cut through each time zone around the world, causing chaos, death, destruction. All chosen will be lifted into heaven, and all damned will suffer for the next 6 months until october 21st 2011, when the world is finally decimated.
Going strictly by the bible here, it proves that this is blasphemy and really, not to worry so much about tomorrow.

In other words, you can go to sleep now and look forward to your another regular day please pass this on tell people the truth
